New Siding Installation
A new siding upgrade protects your home from our harsh Genesee ID climate. Faded, buckling panels get worse over time. Choose licensed, warranty backed pros using quality siding systems, moisture control, and details for a durable - code tight exterior.
Siding Replacement
A siding replacement restores full protection when panels crack, fade, or fail over time. Local homeowners love our fast and fair siding estimates, how we explain the options, show up on time, and stand behind our work long after your new siding is installed.
Siding Damage Repairs
Siding repairs stop water intrusion after wind, hail, or flying debris and extend your exterior’s lifespan. Trust our 5 Star Genesee siding - our licensed crews handle emergency patches, photos for insurance, and lasting fixes to damaged panels on your home.
On the open Genesee Prairie, siding takes full wind, sun, and dust with almost no tree cover to soften the hit. Cracked boards and tired paint do little to stop water and air from working into the structure.
Quality siding - from vinyl packages to LP SmartSide and Diamond Kote finishes - locks the weather out and helps your Genesee home hold temperature on those windy US 95 days. You gain curb appeal, energy savings, and a lot less time scraping and painting in the summer.
Posted on Kevin CannonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had a small roof repair after a home inspection that needed addressed within the month. They answered my call right away and were happy to help, fitting us in their schedule almost instantly. Luke and Alex were super nice and professional both on the phone and in person. Some poorly timed snow storms delayed them a few days but they were great at communicating what their plans were. Highly recommend these guys!Posted on SCTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. GCS went out right away to assess my roof, made the repair and gave ma great price for a new roof. They sent me photos during and upon completion of thr process. I dont live there full time, but my neighbor said they worked fast and furious to get it done. They did my roof during the winter, and completed it before the weather became a burden. Would definitely use them again for other projects I have coming up.Posted on Norman chesserTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We hired this general contractor for our home renovation, and the results exceeded our expectations. The team was punctual, skilled, and communicated clearly throughout the project. They stayed on schedule and within budget while delivering high-quality workmanship. The entire process was smooth and stress-free. I would confidently recommend them for any construction or remodeling needs.Posted on Barbara FrananoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our barn roof was damaged by a windstorm in December 2025. Our insurance appraiser estimated the cost to replace the damaged panels was less than our deductable so we were responsible out of pocket for the repairs. We contacted GCS, and Alex came out to give us an estimate for the repairs. His bid for parts and labor was less than the insurance estimate. We have also had leaks in other areas of the roof. Alex noticed the origional installers had used screws that were too small. He suggested removing the screws and replacing with the larger proper size and installing aditional screws to spec fastener pattern. They were able to come right away before weather got bad again, and did an outstanding job. We were very impressed by the level of professionalism and ease of interaction. We have no complaints! Thanks!Posted on Dan MaurerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. GCS construction completed three separate projects at my home. New vinyl siding, new shed, and repair of a sagging garage door header. Alex and his crew did a great job and am very happy with the results of all the projects. Work was done in a professional and timely manner and I was kept apprised of what they were doing and they were available to answer all of my questions. I highly recommend GCS!Posted on Anne ETrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Alex did a phenomenal job on my home sealing and siding. He fixed the issue I had around my sliding glass door beautifully also.Posted on Laurie McGrawTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can't say enough about this company. They go above and beyond in customer service. We have worked with them on 3 projects (one of which is not complete yet and I will be writing a review when it is) They represent great quality workmanship, honesty, integrity, job completed in a timely manner, they clean up after themselves you will not have to walk around picking up empty drink bottles, garbage and debris, they take pride in what they do, you will not find them standing around on there cell phones. Luke, Alex and Caleb put up with all of my questions and non sense and are always kind and patient. I have not seen anything they are not capable of doing or willing to take on and do it well. Thank you guys for a fantastic experience. Highly recommend.Posted on Sandra ChavezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What siding contractor services are available around Genesee?
Out on the wheat ground between Moscow and the Lewiston Hill, homes and farmsteads around Genesee sit wide open to sun, wind, and harvest dust. We install and replace fiber cement siding such as HardiePlank, engineered wood like LP SmartSide and Diamond Kote, quality vinyl siding, and steel lap and panel systems that stand up to grain country weather.
Vinyl siding is a strong option for many prairie homes that need a budget friendly, low maintenance exterior. It never needs paint, holds its color well, and handles Idaho’s temperature swings when installed over proper housewrap and flashing. With multiple lap, Dutch lap, and shake profiles, vinyl can match everything from older farmhouses to newer country homes.
Whether your place sits along US 95, on the Old Highway, or down a gravel farm road overlooking the Genesee valley, we handle full tear offs, new construction siding, soffits, fascia, and trim so the envelope around your home or shop is tight and clean.
How does Genesee’s open prairie climate impact siding?
With very little tree cover and long fetch winds, siding failures around here show up fast:
- South and west walls fade and chalk quickly under direct Palouse sun.
- Rain and snow blow straight across fields and drive water into joints and nail holes.
- Fine harvest dust finds its way behind loose laps and poorly sealed penetrations.
- Older hardboard, low grade vinyl, and composite products swell, flake, and split at the edges.
We combine proper housewrap, flashing, and venting with materials like Diamond Kote prefinished siding, LP SmartSide lap and board and batten, HardiePlank fiber cement, modern vinyl siding, and steel so your exterior becomes a shield for the structure – not a weak spot.
What does a new siding install look like on Genesee farms and acreages?
On farm homes near the elevators or shop houses out along the section roads, we start by stripping problem areas and checking the sheathing. From there we help you choose the right system:
- HardiePlank horizontal lap with fiber cement trim for a crisp, traditional profile.
- LP SmartSide lap or panel with batten for a farmhouse look that handles bumps from equipment and kids.
- Diamond Kote prefinished siding when less repainting and color stability matter.
- Vinyl siding packages for cost conscious projects that still want clean lines and strong curb appeal.
- Steel siding on attached garages, machine sheds, and shop fronts that see heavy use.
We tie everything together with window and door flashing, metal drip details, and trim that makes sense for wind exposure on the prairie.
What siding warning signs should Genesee property owners look for?
Even if the house looks fine from US 95, closer inspection often reveals:
- Swollen lower courses where snow drifts and puddles sit against the wall.
- Hairline cracks around nail heads on the windward side of the home.
- Loose or missing trim pieces around garage doors and eaves.
- Brittle or wavy vinyl sections that move in the wind or show gaps.
- Interior drafts and uneven temperatures, especially in older farmhouses.
We will walk the exterior with you, mark concern areas, and show you which surfaces are candidates for repair and which are ready for full replacement with stronger, modern materials.
Why do Genesee homeowners and farmers choose engineered wood, vinyl, fiber cement, and steel?
Out here, downtime is expensive and redoing the same job twice is not an option. That is why most upgrades we do now involve engineered wood, vinyl, fiber cement, and steel:
- LP SmartSide offers the look of wood with treated strands that resist rot and insects.
- Diamond Kote prefinished systems mean less time repainting tall walls and peaks.
- HardiePlank adds fire resistance and holds up well near grain bins and shop yards.
- Vinyl siding gives you a low maintenance shell that never needs paint and is available in many colors and profiles.
- Steel siding takes abuse from equipment, gravel roads, and everyday farm traffic.
We lay out the pros, cons, and price points so you can make a straightforward decision that fits the operation.
How can new siding improve curb appeal and sale value on the prairie?
A clean, updated exterior stands out immediately when buyers pull into the yard. Fresh siding:
- Frames porches, gables, and attached garages in a way older products cannot.
- Reduces inspection notes tied to moisture, pests, and rot.
- Signals that other maintenance items have likely been handled as well.
For homes that may be listed as “country residential” or small acreage properties, updated siding and trim – whether in vinyl, engineered wood, fiber cement, or steel – can be the difference between a quick offer and a long wait.
How do you schedule a siding estimate in the Genesee area?
The process is simple. We schedule a visit, walk the exterior with you, and:
- Document current siding condition, trim, and flashing details.
- Review LP SmartSide, Diamond Kote, HardiePlank, vinyl, and steel options based on how you use the property.
- Recommend repair versus replacement where appropriate.
- Provide a written estimate with clear scope and materials.
From homes right in town to farmsteads spread across the Genesee prairie, we install siding systems built for open country wind and North Idaho seasons.
