They answered my call right away and were happy to help, fitting us in their schedule almost instantly. Luke and Alex were super nice and professional both on the phone and in person. Some poorly timed snow storms delayed them a few days but they were great at communicating what their plans were. Highly recommend these guys!Posted on SCTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. GCS went out right away to assess my roof, made the repair and gave ma great price for a new roof. They sent me photos during and upon completion of thr process. I dont live there full time, but my neighbor said they worked fast and furious to get it done. They did my roof during the winter, and completed it before the weather became a burden. Would definitely use them again for other projects I have coming up.Posted on Norman chesserTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We hired this general contractor for our home renovation, and the results exceeded our expectations. The team was punctual, skilled, and communicated clearly throughout the project. They stayed on schedule and within budget while delivering high-quality workmanship. The entire process was smooth and stress-free. I would confidently recommend them for any construction or remodeling needs.Posted on Barbara FrananoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our barn roof was damaged by a windstorm in December 2025. Our insurance appraiser estimated the cost to replace the damaged panels was less than our deductable so we were responsible out of pocket for the repairs. We contacted GCS, and Alex came out to give us an estimate for the repairs. His bid for parts and labor was less than the insurance estimate. We have also had leaks in other areas of the roof. Alex noticed the origional installers had used screws that were too small. He suggested removing the screws and replacing with the larger proper size and installing aditional screws to spec fastener pattern. They were able to come right away before weather got bad again, and did an outstanding job. We were very impressed by the level of professionalism and ease of interaction. We have no complaints! Thanks!Posted on Dan MaurerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. GCS construction completed three separate projects at my home. New vinyl siding, new shed, and repair of a sagging garage door header. Alex and his crew did a great job and am very happy with the results of all the projects. Work was done in a professional and timely manner and I was kept apprised of what they were doing and they were available to answer all of my questions. I highly recommend GCS!Posted on Anne ETrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Alex did a phenomenal job on my home sealing and siding. He fixed the issue I had around my sliding glass door beautifully also.Posted on Laurie McGrawTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can't say enough about this company. They go above and beyond in customer service. We have worked with them on 3 projects (one of which is not complete yet and I will be writing a review when it is) They represent great quality workmanship, honesty, integrity, job completed in a timely manner, they clean up after themselves you will not have to walk around picking up empty drink bottles, garbage and debris, they take pride in what they do, you will not find them standing around on there cell phones. Luke, Alex and Caleb put up with all of my questions and non sense and are always kind and patient. I have not seen anything they are not capable of doing or willing to take on and do it well. Thank you guys for a fantastic experience. Highly recommend.Posted on Sandra ChavezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Why does siding matter around Potlatch Junction’s highway and open country exposure?
Potlatch Junction – where US 95 meets ID 6 – sits in open country, with homes, small shops, and rural parcels exposed to highway wind, truck traffic, and Palouse weather. Without good siding, that exposure wears things out fast:
- Wind driven rain: Direct hits on walls facing US 95 and surrounding fields.
- Snow and slush: Plowed piles and drifts stacking against lower walls.
- Dust and grime: Road film and field dust clinging to rough, failing finishes.
- UV exposure: Long sun hours that chalk and fade low grade siding.
We install systems using LP SmartSide, Diamond Kote, HardiePlank, vinyl siding, and steel designed specifically for highway and open country conditions.
What siding contractor services do you offer near Potlatch Junction?
For homes, shops, and combination buildings near the junction, we provide:
- Full siding replacement for primary residences and shop houses.
- Siding repairs on highway facing walls and impact areas.
- Trim, soffit, and fascia upgrades to tighten up older structures.
- Material upgrades from aging wood or older vinyl to modern vinyl, engineered wood, or fiber cement with steel where appropriate.
Do you handle siding replacement throughout the Potlatch Junction area?
Yes. We replace siding for:
- Homes and shops near the actual US 95 / ID 6 junction.
- Rural parcels along US 95 between Moscow and Potlatch.
- Properties that split use between residential, shop, and small business at or near the junction.
What does a professional siding replacement include around Potlatch Junction?
Highway exposure means details are critical:
- Remove old siding and inspect sheathing and framing, especially on highway facing elevations.
- Install tight, durable WRB or housewrap with full taping and integration with flashings.
- Add metal drip caps, head flashings, and kick outs for wind driven rain.
- Repair or replace soffits and fascia where wind and vibration have taken a toll.
Then we install LP SmartSide, Diamond Kote, HardiePlank, or vinyl siding, using steel on shops and commercial style buildings that see daily traffic and equipment.
Should you repair or replace siding near Potlatch Junction?
We look at how close you are to US 95 and what the walls are telling us:
- Replace on highway facing fronts that are badly chalked, cracked, or showing structural movement.
- Repair on isolated sides where a trailer or equipment has damaged panels.
- Inspect first when interior cracks and staining suggest deeper issues behind highway exposures.
Wind, vibration, and weather make strong cases for full system upgrades on the most exposed buildings.
Why does Potlatch Junction’s exposure beat up siding?
You are combining:
- Highway wind and passing truck turbulence.
- Snow and slush pushed against walls by plows and traffic.
- Dust from fields and shoulders along US 95.
- Open sun with limited shade.
We counter with well detailed WRB, tight flashings, and properly installed vinyl, engineered wood, fiber cement, or steel that stand up to that abuse.
How do siding repairs work in the Potlatch Junction area?
When full replacement can be staged or delayed, we:
- Repair or replace damaged courses on the most weathered walls.
- Upgrade flashing at doors, overhead openings, and service entries.
- Swap broken or wavy vinyl panels for higher quality, better fitting replacements where feasible.
- Seal, prime, and paint or color match the repaired sections.
We also help you plan a future full replacement if the existing system is nearing the end of its life.
What other exterior repairs do you handle during siding projects near the junction?
- Sheathing and framing repairs on highway exposed walls.
- Overhead door and jamb repairs on shop and garage fronts.
- Soffit and fascia updates to resist wind and vibration.
- Gutter and downspout improvements to move slush and melt water away from walls.
- Air sealing and insulation upgrades while walls are open.
What is the siding inspection and estimate process for Potlatch Junction properties?
We come to your property and:
- Walk all sides, with extra focus on US 95 and ID 6 facing elevations.
- Check moisture levels where leaks are suspected.
- Review LP SmartSide, Diamond Kote, HardiePlank, vinyl siding, and steel options that match your use and exposure.
- Provide a line item estimate for repairs, WRB and flashings, siding materials, and labor.
How long does siding replacement usually take near Potlatch Junction?
- Day 0 – Assessment, measurements, and product selection.
- Day 1 – Demo, sheathing repair, WRB, and flashings.
- Days 2–4 – New siding, trim, caulk, and detailing.
- Wrap up – Final walkthrough, cleanup, and photos.
Which siding materials fit Potlatch Junction and nearby highway parcels?
- Diamond Kote over LP SmartSide for brand forward, highway facing fronts.
- HardiePlank for fire resistance and dimensional stability on exposed sites.
- Vinyl siding for secondary elevations and homes where low maintenance is key.
- Steel siding for shops, warehouses, and mixed use buildings right off US 95.
What are the energy, curb appeal, and resale benefits in a highway location?
A tight, modern wall system cuts drafts, reduces noise, and gives a cleaner profile to both homes and shops seen from US 95. Fresh vinyl, engineered wood, or fiber cement paired with steel where needed sends a strong message that the property is maintained and open for business.
