A new siding upgrade protects your home from our harsh Lewiston climate. Faded, buckling panels get worse over time. Choose licensed, warranty backed pros using quality siding systems, moisture control, and details for a durable - code tight exterior.
Siding Replacement
A siding replacement restores full protection when panels crack, fade, or fail over time. Local homeowners love our fast and fair siding estimates, how we explain the options, show up on time, and stand behind our work long after your new siding is installed.
Siding Damage Repairs
Siding repairs stop water intrusion after wind, hail, or flying debris and extend your exterior’s lifespan. Trust our 5 Star Lewiston siding - our licensed crews handle emergency patches, photos for insurance, and lasting fixes to damaged panels on your home.
Down in the Lewiston valley, siding has to handle river humidity, summer heat, and canyon winds funneling up and down the Snake and Clearwater. Weak cladding fades quickly and lets moisture creep into the wall system.
Upgraded siding - from low maintenance vinyl to LP SmartSide and HardiePlank - helps your Lewiston home shrug off that combination of sun and moisture. You get a cleaner look on Normal Hill or in the Orchards, better insulation performance, and less worry about what the next hot, windy season will do to your exterior.
Posted on Kevin CannonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had a small roof repair after a home inspection that needed addressed within the month. They answered my call right away and were happy to help, fitting us in their schedule almost instantly. Luke and Alex were super nice and professional both on the phone and in person. Some poorly timed snow storms delayed them a few days but they were great at communicating what their plans were. Highly recommend these guys!Posted on SCTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. GCS went out right away to assess my roof, made the repair and gave ma great price for a new roof. They sent me photos during and upon completion of thr process. I dont live there full time, but my neighbor said they worked fast and furious to get it done. They did my roof during the winter, and completed it before the weather became a burden. Would definitely use them again for other projects I have coming up.Posted on Norman chesserTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We hired this general contractor for our home renovation, and the results exceeded our expectations. The team was punctual, skilled, and communicated clearly throughout the project. They stayed on schedule and within budget while delivering high-quality workmanship. The entire process was smooth and stress-free. I would confidently recommend them for any construction or remodeling needs.Posted on Barbara FrananoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our barn roof was damaged by a windstorm in December 2025. Our insurance appraiser estimated the cost to replace the damaged panels was less than our deductable so we were responsible out of pocket for the repairs. We contacted GCS, and Alex came out to give us an estimate for the repairs. His bid for parts and labor was less than the insurance estimate. We have also had leaks in other areas of the roof. Alex noticed the origional installers had used screws that were too small. He suggested removing the screws and replacing with the larger proper size and installing aditional screws to spec fastener pattern. They were able to come right away before weather got bad again, and did an outstanding job. We were very impressed by the level of professionalism and ease of interaction. We have no complaints! Thanks!Posted on Dan MaurerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. GCS construction completed three separate projects at my home. New vinyl siding, new shed, and repair of a sagging garage door header. Alex and his crew did a great job and am very happy with the results of all the projects. Work was done in a professional and timely manner and I was kept apprised of what they were doing and they were available to answer all of my questions. I highly recommend GCS!Posted on Anne ETrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Alex did a phenomenal job on my home sealing and siding. He fixed the issue I had around my sliding glass door beautifully also.Posted on Laurie McGrawTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can't say enough about this company. They go above and beyond in customer service. We have worked with them on 3 projects (one of which is not complete yet and I will be writing a review when it is) They represent great quality workmanship, honesty, integrity, job completed in a timely manner, they clean up after themselves you will not have to walk around picking up empty drink bottles, garbage and debris, they take pride in what they do, you will not find them standing around on there cell phones. Luke, Alex and Caleb put up with all of my questions and non sense and are always kind and patient. I have not seen anything they are not capable of doing or willing to take on and do it well. Thank you guys for a fantastic experience. Highly recommend.Posted on Sandra ChavezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Amazing service definitely recommend!!!

What siding contractor services do we offer in and around Lewiston?
In the Lewiston Clarkston valley, homes on the benches, along the river, and up the grades all see different kinds of stress. We install and replace fiber cement siding such as HardiePlank, engineered wood like LP SmartSide and Diamond Kote, vinyl siding, and steel siding for houses, shops, and mixed use buildings. The goal is simple – give you an exterior that looks clean from the Snake and Clearwater and holds up on the Lewiston Hill, Normal Hill, and valley floor.
Vinyl siding is a solid choice for many Lewiston homes that need budget friendly, low maintenance curb appeal. It never needs paint, holds color well under hot summers, and stands up to river moisture and temperature swings when installed correctly. With plenty of lap, Dutch lap, and shake profiles, vinyl can match both classic valley homes and newer construction in areas like Tammany or East Lewiston.
How does Lewiston’s river valley climate affect your siding?
The confluence of the Snake and Clearwater creates a unique mix of mild winters, hot summers, and canyon winds:
- River fog and moisture settle low in the valley and work on shaded walls.
- Summer heat bounces off pavement and rock, baking south and west exposures.
- Wind running through US 12 and US 95 corridors drives rain into joints and seams.
- Older products crack, chalk, and warp when they are not designed for this range.
We pair smart housewrap, flashing, and vent details with HardiePlank, LP SmartSide, Diamond Kote, vinyl, and steel siding so the exterior shell can breathe, shed water, and hold color in real Lewiston conditions.
What does a new siding installation look like for Lewiston homes and shops?
Whether you live on Normal Hill, down near the levee, or on acreage out in Tammany, we start with a thorough exterior review. We:
- Inspect sheathing, existing wrap, and window or door flashing.
- Check how gutters, roofs, and concrete tie into the walls.
- Help you choose the right system:
- HardiePlank lap siding with fiber cement trim for a crisp, classic look.
- LP SmartSide lap or board and batten for warm, durable exteriors on valley benches.
- Diamond Kote prefinished siding when you want long repaint cycles and color stability.
- Vinyl siding packages for cost effective, low maintenance curb appeal in town or on the edge of the valley.
- Steel siding on shops, garages, and light commercial buildings along main corridors.
We follow manufacturer specs for fasteners, gaps, and transitions so the finish looks clean from the street and holds up over time.
What siding issues show up most often on Lewiston properties?
Walking around homes and shops in this area, we often see:
- Faded, chalky siding on south and west walls that face the river or major streets.
- Swollen or cracked lower sections where sprinklers and runoff hit the same spots.
- Brittle or wavy vinyl on older installs that were not flashed or fastened well.
- Gaps around penetrations like hose bibs, vents, and electrical meters.
- Drafty rooms on the weather side of the structure and higher cooling bills in summer.
We separate cosmetic issues from real failures and lay out a clear path to get the exterior back to a strong, weather tight condition.
Why do Lewiston homeowners choose a mix of engineered wood, vinyl, fiber cement, and steel?
In a river town with steep grades, benches, and commercial corridors, one material does not fit every building:
- LP SmartSide offers wood like warmth with treatments that resist rot and insects.
- Diamond Kote brings factory applied color that stands up to heat and UV on exposed hillsides.
- HardiePlank adds fire resistance and dimensional stability for homes near draws and timber edges.
- Vinyl siding provides a low maintenance, budget friendly shell that never needs paint and still looks sharp from the street.
- Steel siding is ideal for shops and storage buildings that see trailers, equipment, and busy traffic.
We help you compare cost, appearance, and maintenance so the siding choice matches both your property and your plans.
How can updated siding improve curb appeal and resale in the Lewiston Clarkston valley?
From the moment someone tops the Lewiston Hill or pulls into your driveway, the exterior sets the tone:
- Fresh siding and straight lines show instantly on hill and bench properties.
- Coordinated trim, soffits, and fascia sharpen rooflines and porches.
- Buyers and appraisers see fewer red flags when exteriors look current instead of patched.
Whether you are refreshing a long held family home or modernizing a rental, a new siding package in vinyl, engineered wood, fiber cement, or steel goes a long way.
How do you get a siding quote for a home or shop in the Lewiston area?
We keep the process straight. During your appointment we:
- Walk the building, take photos, and note problem areas.
- Review LP SmartSide, Diamond Kote, HardiePlank, vinyl, and steel options that fit your site and budget.
- Explain where repair is reasonable and where replacement is the better investment.
- Provide a written estimate with a clear scope, materials list, and timeline.
From river level homes to bench properties and Tammany acreages, we install siding systems built specifically for the Lewiston Clarkston valley.
